Homestay at Chikmaglur We stayed at beautiful coffee estate named Foothills homestay at Chikmaglur. It is owned by Mr. SriKanth gowda ,Rakshit's father. We were welcomed by 5 daschunds, a pet country dog which was their boss and 2 more dogs in the kennel. It was quite cool and was surrounded by hills on all sides. We had booked a family room. It was well maintained and good. There was a maid Sunanda and Mrs. Gowda. Nice couple. We had a tasty home cooked food. The place had positive vibes. There was an aquarium for fishes and one for a turtle. There was aTulsi plant on the east side that had a nice boundary around it. Next day we had tea, breakfast etc. but no lunch. So we had to go to the city to take lunch. While going down the way we saw a peacock, we stopped the car to take its picture. In Jan 2022, we were finally able to visit Chikmaglur!!! We had seen the place in Rocky and Mayur show. So tried to plan it in Nov. 21 in vain. Then Aditi's college had started. Her exams were supposed to be held in first week Jan. So we had booked tickets to Udaipur. But we had to cancel the air tickets and hotel booking as Covid was on rise. But we were getting restless as the whole world was moving and only we had remained in the house for almost two years. So we decided on Chikmaglur, in Karnataka. We booked a homestay Foothills there from 8th to 12th Jan but Adi's exams got postponed to 12 th Jan. We talked to the concerned person Rakshit to shift our stay from 14th to 17th. Again her exams got postponed and were to be held from 18th Jan!!!!!!!!! What to do now ????? We had paid advance also. So again hesitatingly we told Rakshit to prepone the booking. It was for weekend . but our school vacations were to begin on 8th and we had to leave on 7th!!!! We were so so ...
